The Paris Agreement calls for global greenhouse emissions to peak before 2025, decline by 43% by 2030 and reach net zero by 2050. Businesses have a critical role to play in meeting these ambitious targets. Accenture’s Destination Net Zero 2023 report showed that amongst the 2,000 largest public and private companies globally, only 37% have committed to achieving net zero emissions; 33% had cut emissions but not quickly enough, and only 18% were on track to reach net zero by 2050.
Against this backdrop, AtoZero Asia will launch the inaugural Chief Sustainability Officers’ (CSO) Roundtable this April 2024 at Marina Bay Sands Singapore. The high-impact discussion serves as a crucial platform for bringing together leaders from across the energy industry to engage in meaningful discussions and collaborative efforts aimed at advancing sustainability initiatives.
As stewards of corporate responsibility and environmental consciousness, CSOs play a pivotal role in steering organizations toward a sustainable future. The roundtable provides a unique opportunity for these executives to share insights, best practices, and innovative strategies.
The leadership dialogue will discuss case studies whilst providing insights and solutions essential to driving the Net Zero energy transition movement. With uniquely created content, the roundtable will discuss carbon markets, digital tools, Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) and case studies across various sectors including transport, power, data centres, C&I buildings, chemicals and steel.
By addressing key topics and challenges, the Chief Sustainability Officer Roundtable will serve as a catalyst for driving positive change and fostering a collective commitment to building a more sustainable and resilient future.
